Superintendent Antonio Garcia told the board that Reynoso has worked in the district for 4.5 years as director of certificated human resources and previously served as principal and assistant principal at district schools.
Garcia said the board will place Reynoso’s contract on a future agenda. “We are incredibly proud to welcome mister Sal Reynoso into this role,” Garcia said, praising Reynoso’s rise from classroom teacher — and earlier work as a custodian in the Guadalupe School District — to district leadership. Reynoso thanked the board and introduced his family at the podium, saying he looks forward to working collaboratively with staff and the community.
