"Regional Industrial Facilities Authority...for general purposes applying for grant money for site development, infrastructure, things that advance priorities that help all parties involved and give a regional impact," the presenter explained.
Board members asked clarifying questions about membership and project selection; the motion before the board was to authorize the county administrator and economic-development staff to work with participating localities and legal counsel to draft the RIFA agreement and governance documents for future review. The board agreed to move forward with drafting; no final RIFA participation or property commitments were made at this meeting.
