Slate said ball fields are mowed in-house twice a week—Mondays and Thursdays—while larger mowing jobs are handled by contractors. “We mow those twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays,” he said, and added that slower months are used for equipment maintenance. He also noted staff responsibilities extend to public buildings and irrigation work.
