The South Harrison Community School board approved a package of operational items on July 1, including an extension of First Harrison Bank's cash-management contract and adoption of a standing order for naloxone. The motion to approve operational matters was made by Larry Hauswald and seconded by Karen Lopp and passed unanimously among members present.
The board approved extending the First Harrison Bank cash-management services contract for a two-year period, backdated to Sept. 1, 2024 through Aug. 31, 2026, and approved Positive Pay services. The board also adopted a standing order for the administration of naloxone and accepted a $1,000 donation from VPS Architecture for staff appreciation and a $5,000 gift for athletic training from Norton Hospitals (Norton Sports Health). Several partnership agreements — including an Ivy Tech dual-enrollment memorandum of understanding and an Indiana Wesleyan University placement MOU — were approved to support student opportunities.
Board members did not debate these operational items at length and voted to approve them as submitted.
