The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen on a unanimous voice vote approved a one‑year contract with Design Sensory to provide tourism marketing and creative services. City staff said the contract totals $46,000, with $29,750 allocated to advertising and $16,250 for professional services.
"So the contract itself would be for $46,000," the staff presenter said, adding that Design Sensory was the highest‑scoring proposer after a competitive solicitation and that the firm previously has run the city’s campaigns. Staff told the board the $29,750 in paid advertising could be leveraged with about $92,500 in advertising value through a Google grant and TDTD co‑op funds, and recommended moving forward to keep continuity into the next year.
Board members asked procedural questions and the presiding officer called for a motion; the board approved the contract by motion and second. The resolution authorizing the contract was recorded as resolution 2026‑39.
The decision follows an internal evaluation process that included six proposals and selection of Design Sensory on the basis of scoring criteria and perceived value; the contract will be administered through the city’s tourism and marketing department.
