Resident thanks council for new speed signs and flashing lights

"I just wanna thank you guys. City was putting up speed limit signs today," Benion said, adding that neighbors were "thrilled" and that the changes were noticeable when driving past "Tic's house." The resident asked the council to pass thanks on to staff members Ross and Jesse, who the speaker said helped implement the improvements.
The chair said the city opted for flashing lights on that end of town "because of the radar with the train coming through" and noted the flashing approach would be cheaper and less likely to be damaged by the train. The council took no formal vote on this comment but welcomed the positive feedback during the public-comment period.
