Downtown West sales center opens; city outlines growth management and 2050 comp plan kickoff

"The downtown west condo sales center opened yesterday. They have 54 reservations to walk through that which is really exciting," Brewington said, adding that unit price points are anticipated at about $800,000 to $1.2 million and that restaurants and retail names will be announced in the coming weeks.
Brewington described a three-person department using a weekly cross-department development-review team to streamline technical reviews and reduce duplication. She noted increased development applications and that growth is outpacing staff capacity, which is driving a need for strategic consultant management and potential staffing or resourcing discussions. Engagement on the 2050 comprehensive plan will begin this summer with advisory committees and public outreach to guide growth, housing, parks and transportation for the next 20 years.
