County, Planning Commission and Board schedule Land Use Classification work session; staff to post revised draft and host public meetings

The Planning Commission recessed its July 6 meeting to schedule a joint Land Use Ordinance work session with the Board of Supervisors. Commissioners suggested July 20 or July 27; staff said they would check with the Board and confirm a date.
The body reconvened on July 27 with Board members present for a Land Use Classification work session. Deputy County Administrator Matt Hankins reviewed changes made to mapping and ordinance language per Planning Commission direction and asked for further direction on several outstanding items. "Mr. Hankins will make the recommended changes and provide the revised draft ordinance and mapping to staff to post to the website," the minutes state.
The Board directed staff to host additional public input meetings at area high schools as the mapping and ordinance language are finalized. No formal votes occurred during the work session; the session provided direction to staff for next revisions.
