The Algonac Board of Education approved the district’s 2026–2027 budget and certified property millage rates during its June 22 regular meeting. The board voted unanimously to adopt the General Fund, School Service Fund and Special Revenue Fund budgets for the 2026–2027 fiscal year.
The board also approved a final budget amendment for 2025–2026 and certified millage levies for 2026: 18.0000 mills for operating on non-homestead and non-qualified agricultural property; 2.300 mills for debt retirement; 6.0000 mills on personal commercial properties; and 1.8152 mills for the Sinking Fund. Each resolution passed on recorded unanimous votes (Ayes: 6; Nays: 0).
