Cusseta–Chattahoochee commission appoints three to Board of Elections

On Dec. 3 the commission approved appointments to the Board of Elections: Nancy Hoard (term Jan. 1, 2025–Dec. 31, 2028), Valerie Lassiter (Jan. 1, 2025–Dec. 31, 2026) and Crystal Walker (Jan. 1, 2025–Dec. 31, 2028).
The Commission approved three appointments to the county Board of Elections at its Dec. 3 regular meeting. Nancy Hoard was appointed to a term beginning Jan. 1, 2025, and expiring Dec. 31, 2028. Valerie Lassiter was appointed to a term beginning Jan. 1, 2025, and expiring Dec. 31, 2026. Crystal Walker was appointed to a term beginning Jan. 1, 2025, and expiring Dec. 31, 2028.
Motions to approve the appointments were made during the regular meeting and the votes carried; the minutes record that Commissioner Biddle recused himself from the vote on Crystal Walker. The Board of Elections will assume duties assigned by state statute for election administration and voter registration as the appointments take effect in January 2025.
