Rankin tech chair to recommend A.I. philosophy and policy to Board of Education

Dr. Matt Gordon told the committee he will prepare a recommendation to the Board of Education on an A.I. philosophy/policy for Rankin after studying productive uses of the technology in the district.
Dr. Matt Gordon said learning more about artificial intelligence and defining an appropriate scope of use at Rankin is a professional priority. He said he has observed productive examples of A.I. use within the district and that the next step is for the Board to discuss and adopt a philosophy or policy.
"He will be working this year on providing a recommendation to the BOE for approval regarding a philosophy / policy for A.I. for Rankin," Gordon said. The committee did not take formal action; Gordon plans to present a recommendation to the full Board of Education when ready.
