PFK reports $10,723.92 balance, proposes book vending machine and student events

Gina Perry, president of PFK, told the board that PFK currently has a balance of $10,723.92 and that the Annual Chili Supper produced a profit of approximately $4,000, which was down slightly from the previous year. Perry said PFK plans to hold a Santa Shop Dec. 11-13 in the Art Room, will provide a cookie-and-milk snack on Dec. 20, and intends to give each student a Rankin T-shirt this year.
Perry also described a proposal to provide the school with a book vending machine to be stocked and used as a reward system; the current quote for the machine is $6,919. PFK member April McLaughlin and volunteer April McLaughlin (principal) and volunteer April McLaughlin will explore potential locations if the board expresses interest. The minutes record that PFK plans a student logo contest for 2025 and is preparing other activities tied to fundraising proceeds.
