Rankin completes staff laptop rollout; 1:1 student program reported as well resourced

Dr. Matt Gordon said the recent staff laptop initiative has been completed and that the rollout produced lessons learned but was successful overall; he estimated the current staff devices will fall on a roughly 3–7 year replacement cycle. "This completed initiative now puts the staff in an approximate 3-7 year window in regards to when to repeat this initiative," he said.
On the student side, Gordon reported the 1:1 program is working well and that the District has inventory to support it now, but he emphasized the importance of annual device purchases because the average life expectancy of laptops is only a few years.
