Superintendent Dr. Gordon updated the board that "the final increase of the minimum wage, in relationship to the new law, goes into effect January 1, 2025." He told members he plans to recommend a motion at an upcoming meeting to adjust wages for impacted support staff and for additional support-staff adjustments, while remaining mindful of IMRF's 6% cap over a 12-month rolling period.
Board members discussed the timing and budget implications; Dr. Gordon said he will return with formal recommendations and cost estimates at a future meeting to allow the board to consider any necessary budget amendments.
