Michelle Van Leuven and Jason Van Every presented the district's prioritized HB521 projects and explained the project-scoring process the facilities committee used to determine which projects must proceed now and which can wait.
Vice Chair Andersen moved to approve the HB521 projects and the district's 10-year plan; Trustee Kent seconded the motion and it carried. The board discussed doing some HVAC work while insurance-funded hail-damage repairs are underway to obtain better economy of scale and meet the state requirement that funded projects have useful lives of at least seven years. The state has accepted the district's HB521 evaluations and the district expects to receive funds over the coming months.
