County approves arts grant application and donor-funded match for Trout Lake Park project

Planning division staff requested board approval to submit a Michigan Arts and Culture Council grant application to fund artwork at Trout Lake Park, including a percussive sculpture and pavement markings.
The presenter described the grant match requirement and said the county has a donor willing to supply the matching funds. "We do already have [the match] through a generous donor," the presenter said. Commissioners moved to approve the application and the motion carried.
Staff noted the work supports events and outreach the planning division has done at KI Sawyer and thanked the donor and department members for their work on the application.
