Superintendent Wendy Dow later reported that the district’s communications team won a national gold medallion for its attendance campaign and that district staff are participating in statewide implementation of Senate Bill 241 (literacy), contributing to teacher and leader training materials. Board members also noted free summer breakfast and lunch service at several schools for children 0–18, with site-specific dates announced during the roundtable.
Board members used the roundtable to report on the Utah School Board Association delegate assembly and legislative priorities (special education funding, at-risk funding, early literacy) and to encourage relationship-building with local legislators.
