Board approves $79,795 curriculum purchase for lower-grade materials

The Provo City School Board approved a large purchase request Tuesday to buy curricular materials for lower grades (the "95% group") totaling $79,795.14.
Business administrator Devin Dailey said the expense is included in next year’s budget and needs board approval to issue a purchase order so materials arrive before the start of school. "This is in next year's budget, it just needs to be approved so we can get the PO issued so the materials can get here before the beginning of school," Dailey said. The motion passed unanimously.
Board members expressed relief that ordering will occur early enough to be implemented for the coming school year.
