Board seeks new members, student partnerships and a retreat to set priorities

"If students are engaged in things out of the fairgrounds, then their parents are gonna come to the fairgrounds and their grandparents are gonna come to the fairgrounds," the chair said when describing the community-engagement rationale. The board agreed to set a retreat date soon and to circulate a Google poll to maximize participation. Several members also proposed targeted outreach to large annual users and a small number of exit interviews or short surveys after major events to capture actionable feedback without overburdening staff.
