Commission staff told the Northern California public hearing that the Solutions for Congested Corridors Program receives roughly $250 million a year from Senate Bill 1. Commissioner Clarissa Falcon said that over the program's first four cycles the commission programmed 33 projects representing more than $2.5 billion in SCCP investments.
Falcon also described the leveraging effect of recent awards: staff said approximately $482.9 million in state funding in the most recent cycle was paired with more than $13.5 billion in local, regional and federal investment and supported over 180,000 jobs. The staff presentation used those figures to illustrate how SCCP funding is intended to catalyze broader multimodal corridor investment.
