Village appoints Marc Spatol as interim building inspector; electrical certification pending

Trustee Bogacz asked about Marc’s qualifications and pay, noting he likely will be paid less than Trent because of missing certifications; Clerk Messina said the village can have someone else conduct electrical inspections and that she would check with Attorney Shaw about conflict-of-interest questions raised when local elected or appointed officials perform inspection work. The board gave direction to finalize training and staffing but did not set a specific pay change at the meeting.
