President Counley told trustees that landscape timers have been installed and that the benches at Zender Park were repainted; a damaged bench cushion was removed and the board discussed replacing the cushion or the entire bench. Deputy Clerk Prehn said leftover park funds could be used to seal-coat the basketball court and that "there is enough money to get a couple of outdoor grills." Shirley of the Garden Club agreed to take responsibility for plants she had been maintaining and will bring sign options for Zender Park to the next meeting.
Trustee Zakrocky said he would look into sign pricing, and the board agreed Shirley should present proposed sign designs at the September meeting. No formal budget amendment was made at the meeting; the board authorized staff to pursue quotes and return with costs and proposed designs.
