Road work to begin after pre-construction meeting with Schroeder Asphalt

Trustee Vick told the board the village held a pre-construction meeting with Schroeder Asphalt Contracting and HR Green and that J.U.L.I.E. should mark underground utilities this week. "J.U.L.I.E. should be out this week to mark everything and they will start with a little curb work and some drainage work, and then they will mill and then pave," he said, and the contractor will bring equipment and signage to alert school buses.
Deputy Clerk Prehn said the village’s IDOT grant application review was postponed and the village may not receive word until September. The board discussed doing a temporary patch on Spring and emphasized coordination with school bus schedules during the work. No formal vote was taken; staff will oversee contractor scheduling and public notices.
