During discussion council confirmed that $76,000 of that total is earmarked for the Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) and approximately $35,000 is for nuisance abatement.
Council opened a public hearing at 6:20 p.m., heard no public comment and then proceeded to vote. The clerk called the roll; the minutes record affirmative votes from Gavey, Maxfield, Brown, Fry, Bridal Patterson and Mayor Williams. After the roll call, Mayor Williams declared the motion carried and the ordinance adopted.
The ordinance provides immediate authority for the indicated community development expenditures; council did not attach additional conditions in the hearing. Staff and the CIC were directed to return with more detailed 2027 budget numbers in roughly a month.
