Moore explained the timeline: materials will be posted for a month and returned for further board consideration in subsequent meetings. "So as you said, 1st reading, they these policies will be posted then for the next month and, up for board, vote next October at the regular meeting," she said.
Board members and staff (including Andy Badeau, coordinator of digital learning and instructional media) discussed how online instructional materials and acceptable‑use/CIPA obligations might intersect with procedure 6‑52, the definition and practical meaning of "high interest for intended audiences," and concerns about one‑person appointment authority for challenge committees. Several board members asked for added transparency and suggested returning the item to policy committee or scheduling a work session to address the detailed procedural questions before a subsequent vote.
