Principals present 2024-25 campus improvement plans; board approves district-aligned goals

District and campus leaders presented the 2024-25 campus improvement plans, which align to district goals: excellent student outcomes, superior workplace environment, exceptional customer service and strategic resource management. Principal Heather Brooks (North Elementary) described expanded MTSS scheduling and two new math labs to close learning gaps. Monica Schluter described expanded rotations and family engagement activities at her campus, and middle school leadership reported larger intervention efforts and an inaugural PTA with strong early membership.
At the high school, Mr. Barrett described a task force targeting students who left school and a new business CTE track with roughly 60 enrolled students in its first phase. Early childhood leadership described enrollment and a $10,000 outside covering and new outdoor furniture for playground upgrades. A DAEP principal summarized targeted instruction, mental-health check-ins and community partnerships for drug awareness and career presentations.
Following presentations, administration recommended approval of campus goals and objectives; a motion was made, seconded and the board approved the campus goals as presented.
