Superintendent Brent Noskey used his comments at the May 19 meeting to thank staff for commencement and to highlight recent district successes. "It was a fantastic celebration," Noskey said, praising staff who organized the event and noting strong performances by students in band, athletics and Business Professionals of America competitions.
Noskey also provided personnel and program updates: the district hopes to make an offer for the Woodview principal position by the end of the week, and he said "preschool for four-year-olds and some three-year-olds is free at Little Knights," with some open enrollment spots available. The comments included recognition of staff and student achievements such as the district being named one of the Best Communities for Music Education by NAMM, and the minutes record over 100 students participating in dual enrollment through Montcalm Community College (funded from general funds).
