Board approves School Cash payment platform to replace RevTrak

After a demonstration and cost review, the Abingdon-Avon CUSD 276 board voted to adopt the School Cash payment platform to replace RevTrak.
Finance staff Kim explained the proposal’s economics and deployment: an upfront setup and training fee of about $8,000 that includes seven point-of-sale devices (three for the high school, two for the middle school, two for the grade school and one at the district office), and an annual service cost roughly in the $6,000 range. The superintendent and staff argued the platform reduces cash handling, streamlines field-trip and activity payments, and provides online permissions and receipts that go directly into the correct accounts. "That upfront fee is around $8,000, and that includes all of the setup and the trainings and the staff," Kim said during the presentation.
The board motion to approve the School Cash platform passed by roll call. Administration said the system will allow cashless concessions, online permission slips and integrated receipts that cut duplicate cash-counting work at the district office; staff will return with implementation timelines and warranty details for the point-of-sale hardware.
