Superintendent Bill presented a proposal to install permanent LED lighting on the high-school soccer field to permit later evening games and improve spectator visibility.
He described a plan using four poles with 20 LED lights each and said the district could reuse some existing poles to keep costs lower, estimating a project cost of about $89,000. "There'd be 20 LED lights on each pole, which would give us plenty, plenty of light," he said, and noted the plan would bury cables and stagger pole placement to minimize new infrastructure costs.
Board members approved the motion by roll call and the superintendent said the proposal would likely be funded from 1¢ sales-tax maintenance money and included in budgeting for 2026-27.
