Residents press Dolton trustees on storm debris, vacant-lot dumping and bridge detours

"There are tires, there are trash...The dumping of the trash is ridiculous," Veronica Ball said, adding she would show video evidence after the meeting. Another resident, Ryan Reese, asked specifically whether the village has a timetable with IDOT for repairs to two bridges at Lincoln and 154th, saying access to South Dolton was being impeded by concurrent work and detours.
Trustees and staff responded that public works and the superintendent would follow up on tree and branch removal and that the village would provide more information about bridge timetables as it obtains it from IDOT. Residents also raised privacy concerns about 'flock' traffic cameras placed near village driving corridors; trustees said they would follow up with more information.
