Fredonia panel schedules Sept. 14 public hearing on TID No. 3 boundary amendment tied to Badger Paperboard expansion

On Aug. 3, 2026, the Fredonia Planning Commission voted to set a public hearing for Sept. 14 at 7:00 p.m. to consider an amendment to the boundaries of Tax Increment District No. 3.
Administrator Jenkins told commissioners that Badger Paperboard is expanding and plans to merge two parcels (one listed as 6.44 acres) into what he described as about a "1 9 ish acre parcel," and that amending the TID boundary would enable the village to capture increment from that growth. Jenkins directed commissioners to a map in the packet (pages 16—17) for detail. Commissioners moved and seconded the motion to set the hearing; the motion passed on voice vote.
The hearing will be the commission’s opportunity to take public comment and to discuss details of the boundary amendment and any attendant fiscal impacts before acting.
