The Match Board voted unanimously to recommend Lisette Casey be changed from an alternate to a regular member and to forward that recommendation to the Manitou Springs City Council for final approval.
Lisette Casey said she looks forward to serving as a regular member. "Nothing you missed," she told the board, adding, "I'll just say thanks for having me, and I look forward to being a regular member." Ralph Rauten moved the recommendation; a second was given and the chair confirmed the item would appear on the council consent calendar, meaning Lisette does not need to attend the council meeting unless she wishes to.
Board members noted Lisette’s contributions as an alternate and confirmed the board maintained a quorum for the vote even with one member dissenting from participation. The chair said the change will be transmitted to city council for formal approval on Aug. 4.
