Council reminds public of Northpointe review and schedules Aug. 11 town hall on public safety

Councilmembers used the reports portion of the Aug. 3 meeting to remind residents about upcoming opportunities for engagement. One councilmember said the Northpointe redevelopment planning commission packet is available online and urged residents to review the large document before the planning commission meeting and the subsequent council hearing.
Councilmembers Heipps and Driscoll announced a town hall set for 6:00 p.m. on Aug. 11 at the Preston Ridge Community Center (adjacent to the YMCA). Heipps said the initial portion will focus on public safety and named Deputy Chief Scott Meckler and Fire Chief Brad Denkanger as expected participants. The council encouraged public attendance and questions.
