Board adopts equity, suicide-prevention and immigration-response language; passes Pride and Juneteenth resolutions

The board also moved to adopt BP 5141.52 (suicide prevention) and BP 5145.13 (response to immigration enforcement) with CSBA-recommended additions and accepted both policies by vote.
The board adopted Resolution 25-16 recognizing Pride Month (with added language honoring the queer youth leadership award) and Resolution 25-17 recognizing Juneteenth; both passed unanimously by roll-call vote. Trustees emphasized the policies and resolutions as aligned with student safety and equity commitments. A minor typographical error in the posted policy document (a misspelling of "education") was noted on the record and will be corrected in the published packet.
