The Creswell School District 40 Board of Directors approved its consent agenda and multiple administrative actions at the Oct. 9 regular meeting held at the district office in Creswell. Ms. Lemhouse Worsham moved to approve the consent agenda, Mr. Rogers seconded, and "THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY," according to the minutes. The consent agenda included prior minutes, a personnel report, the list of approved alternative education programs and deletions or updates to a number of district policies.
The board also voted unanimously to post a set of revised policies for a one‑month public comment period; the policies listed in the minutes include AC (Non‑discrimination), DJC (Bidding Requirements), EBCA (Safety Threats), GBN/JBA (Sexual Harassment), IGBAF (Special Education/IEP), and KG (Community Use of District Facilities), among others. In separate motions the board approved the Superintendent goals for 2024–25, approved the Lane County School District Transit Dollar Request for 2024–25, and approved a one‑year postponement for health adoption. Each action was moved and seconded and recorded as carried unanimously in the minutes.
The posting of revised policies will be for one month and those items will return to the board for a formal vote at the next meeting. The minutes show no recorded dissent and list who moved and seconded each action. The board adjourned at 7:08 PM.
