Board approves consent agenda and authorizes multiple new positions and hires

At its Sept. 15 meeting, the West Branch-Rose City Area Schools Board of Education unanimously approved the consent agenda and a series of personnel actions.
Trustee Alan Withers moved and Trustee Scott Kartes seconded approval of the consent agenda, which included the Aug. 18 regular meeting minutes, a closed-session minutes record (hard copy), Committee of the Whole minutes for Sept. 8, and the finance report. The consent motion carried unanimously, 7–0.
Under personnel the board approved new positions and hires. Notable items recorded in the minutes include a new regular bus driver position filled by Kevin Adamson (effective Aug. 25, 2025) at the USW contract rate of $18.24 per hour; Lisa Koski as Teacher Lead–Specials at Surline Elementary with an At-Risk-funded stipend of $1,800 per school year; and multiple coaching assignments paid per the Supplementary Services Pay Schedule (4% at listed steps). A separate motion to approve listed new hires (including bus drivers, paraprofessionals and aides) also carried unanimously, 7–0.
The minutes list individual hires and effective dates; they do not record any dissenting votes or abstentions.
