Assistant Superintendent for Business Services Ryan Berry reviewed the proposed timeline for the student transportation Request for Proposals for the 2025–26 school year at the Oct. 8 board meeting.
Board Secretary Donna M. Johnson said she had visited transportation vendors at the recent Triple I conference and expressed satisfaction with Grand Prairie, the district's current provider. "Mrs. Johnson shared her satisfaction with Grand Prairie and is not in favor of changing companies," the meeting minutes state; she said she values a local company that knows the district and community.
Berry presented the timeline as a discussion item; board members did not take formal action on the item at the meeting. The district indicated procurement steps would proceed according to the timeline presented.
