Assistant Superintendent for Teaching & Learning Kristy Seifert told the board Oct. 8 that River Trails Middle School has seen growth in multilingual learners and the district is requesting an additional full-time equivalent multilingual staff position to meet needs.
Seifert said the district plans to include the hiring of one 1.0 FTE in the Nov. 12 consent agenda and asked trustees to expect that request at the next regular meeting. No dollar amounts or detailed staffing plan were provided at the Oct. 8 discussion; Seifert said she would return with the relevant hiring materials for the consent agenda.
