An emcee for the City of Little Rock's Department of Community Programs announced two Community Partners of the Year for the 2026 Summer Youth Employment Opportunity program: Dunmar Bagnet Middle School and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
Emily Cox accepted the recognition on behalf of UA Little Rock and thanked the city for the partnership. "This is such an honor," she said, adding the university looks forward to continued collaboration to create opportunities for young people.
The partner awards recognize organizations whose mentorship, training and placement support have created meaningful on-the-job experiences for interns during the summer season. City officials said the partnerships are a key part of efforts to build career readiness.
