Board approves CDBG-DR subgrant with Sustainable Woodstock for Riverside Mobile Home Park

The Woodstock Select Board voted to accept the terms of a Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) agreement that designates the town as the grantee and Sustainable Woodstock as the subgrantee for work at Riverside Mobile Home Park.
Jenever Wetmore, executive director of Sustainable Woodstock, told the board the grant covers long-term flood planning and mitigation at Riverside. "This grant with the unnecessarily long acronym, CDBGDR, is a grant that the select board and the town supported the application of... this is for work related to Riverside Mobile Home Park and long term flood planning and mitigation there," she said. The board moved to adopt the resolution, authorized the town manager and the Sustainable Woodstock director to execute documents and sign appropriate forms, and approved the motion by voice vote.
A public commenter praised the collaboration between the town and the nonprofit. The board noted that state documents had just been provided and that the town will sign and file required forms to accept the award and identify administrative responsibilities.
