Residents, advocates press board for clear accomplishments list and fiscal restraint in growth-policy work

Randy Carpenter of Friends of Park County supported that approach and said prioritizing items would make the growth policy more usable; David De Loretto urged the board to diagnose exactly "what's wrong with the existing growth policy" before spending on a new policy. Anne Hollow, speaking from the audience, warned the board that the county has a severe budget problem and urged the board to use its own expertise rather than immediately hiring consultants. The comments shaped the board’s decision to seek a staff-provided status report rather than immediately launching a consultant-driven process.
