At its March meeting the Elko County Board of Commissioners completed a set of formal actions: they approved Proclamation 2025-02 for Great Basin Elks Lodge 1472, awarded the annual magnesium chloride contract (E1) to EnviroTech Services, accepted a staff recommendation to award Lucky Nugget Phase 2 to Granite Construction (E2), approved the annual trustee property auction listing (F1) with one parcel exempted for road materials, and approved the application and related items for transit and social-service grants (K1–K3).
The Board also approved radio purchases (L1–L4) using state purchasing and capital funds, directed staff to prepare letters opposing AB81 and SB172 while supporting AB100 and AB293 and seeking an exemption to SB16, and moved forward a commissioner motion to draft a ballot question on switching to district elections. Several items were informational and will return for final award documents or further procedural steps.
