Trustee Ricardo Padilla emphasized aggressive outreach in multiple languages and raised concerns that late promotion (the board observed delay in January/February outreach) would leave families uninformed before summer program starts. Staff agreed to provide a follow‑up presentation with enrollment counts and a clearer map of which sites will offer which summer programs, and to coordinate communications in English, Spanish, Chinese and Vietnamese.
