Board approves transfer of historical marker and pavilion to Pine City ahead of DNR boat-landing work

Commissioners discussed adjacent property-ownership questions — including historic Ag Society ownership and past condemnations — and said staff would research quitclaim deed options for related lots and return with paperwork.
County staff noted the DNR project timeline includes reconstruction starting next spring; the transfer was framed as a preservation action so the plaque will not be destroyed during DNR work.
