The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners authorized a public hearing for a Brownfield Project in the Village of Port Sanlak on March 18, 2025, and directed the board secretary to publish the legal notice.
The board also approved FA045-25 to accept $80,000 in Operation Stone Garden grant funding for fiscal year 2024 to reimburse overtime and fuel costs for shoreline patrol and protection. "San Mate County Board of Commissioners hereby approves and accepts $80,000 in grant funding for fiscal year 20 24 Operation Stone Garden for the reimbursement of overtime and maintenance fuel for shoreline patrol and protection and further authorizes the board chairman sign the necessary grant," was read as part of the motion and adopted. The chair was authorized to sign grant documents and the motion carried by voice vote.
Both items were approved without recorded opposition; the Brownfield hearing notice will be published and grant paperwork will be executed by the board chair and handled by county grant administration.
