The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners voted March 4 to approve current claims totaling $120,246.51 and moved forward on several park construction contracts and county policy amendments.
During new business the board approved FA033-25, authorizing payment from the general bank accounts for the accounts payable report dated Feb. 25, 2025. The motion was presented and carried by voice vote. "Santa Ana County Board of Commissioners hereby approves the payment of current claims identified on the accounts payable report dated 02/25/2025 for the general bank accounts in the amount of $120,246.51," was read during the item and approved.
The board also authorized a contract with Stulls Construction LLC for the Lexington Park manager's residence project at a cost not to exceed $16,498.76 (FA035-25), and approved a related change order not to exceed $4,008 to address items identified by inspectors (FA036-25). TDM Construction received the award for the Evergreen Park exterior office project at a cost not to exceed $25,338.85 (FA037-25), with funding from the parks millage.
In other actions the board adopted an amended dress and personal appearance policy, a standardized employee resignation form and an animal access and county buildings policy. Each motion was carried by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
