The Pontiac City School District Board of Education voted unanimously Sept. 8 to approve a resolution calling for full, permanent funding of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
The resolution was presented under the superintendent’s report by Interim Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Leverette. Vice President Kenyada Bowman moved the resolution and Trustee G. Kevin Gross supported it; the minutes record that all voting members present voted in favor. The motion is recorded as "A MOTION WAS MADE TO APPROVE THE RESOLUTION CALLING FOR FULL, PERMANENT FUNDING OF IDEA - APPROVED."
