The Howell Public Schools Board approved a series of student field trips and overnight travel as part of consent items and an added agenda item on Feb. 10.
Approved trips include: an out-of-country trip to the Stratford Festival in Ontario for Howell High School Advanced Drama students on Oct. 1, 2025; overnight travel to Lansing for the Michigan Thespian Festival (Dec. 12-13, 2025); attendance at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference in Southfield (Feb. 24-26, 2025); an overnight trip to Grand Rapids for the Michigan AEYC Early Childhood Education Conference (April 13-15, 2025); DECA State Conference travel to Detroit (March 13-15, 2025); a marching band overnight camp in Hersey (Aug. 3-7, 2025); an overnight band lock-in at Howell High School (May 9-10, 2025); and an added approval for a ProStart Culinary Competition overnight in Battle Creek (March 10-11, 2025). The consent agenda and added item approvals were unanimous.
Board motions cited Exhibits B through Q for trip details, chaperone and transportation arrangements, and dates; staff will follow Exhibit requirements for parental permission and trip logistics.
