Farmington Board moves to closed session over pending litigation and staff complaint

Heinrich then moved and Turner supported a separate motion that the board convene to closed session “pursuant to MCL 15.268(e) attorney client privilege in connection with specific pending litigation and MCL 15.268(a) to hear a complaint against a staff member who has requested a closed hearing, both are sections of the Open Meetings Act, Public Act 267 of 1976.” A roll-call vote recorded ayes from Heinrich, Smith, Weems, Blau, Fox and Turner and the motion carried 6-0. The board entered closed session at 5:04 p.m. and returned to the special meeting at 5:41 p.m.; the meeting was adjourned at 5:41 p.m.
