Planning Commission and Board direct staff to revise land-use map and host public input at area high schools

The Planning Commission reconvened with the Board of Supervisors on July 27 for a Land Use Classification work session. Deputy County Administrator Matthew Hankins reviewed mapping and ordinance edits made per prior direction and asked for final decisions on several outstanding items.
"The Board has directed staff to host additional public input meetings at the area high schools," Hankins said. Commissioners and the Board provided direction for staff to make the recommended changes; Hankins said staff will post a revised draft ordinance and mapping to the county website for public review.
The joint session concluded with staff tasked to produce the revised materials and schedule the school-based public input meetings; no final ordinance adoption occurred at this meeting, which the commission adjourned at 6:57 p.m.
